The Massif du Sancy, in the heart of Auvergne. Patrick, a shepherd in his forties, is the victim of a horrendous attack. His mother, Marceline, convinced he was killed by wolves, vows revenge. But when the attack turns out to be murder, Marceline's quest heads in a very different direction.
