LA MANCHE SUR UN COUSSIN D'AIR

From 1966 to 2000, Boulogne-sur-Mer and Calais saw strange hovercraft arrive on their beaches. Connecting the French and English coasts in less than 25 minutes these futuristic vessels transported thousands of passengers every year, long before the completion of the Channel Tunnel. We look back at this other cross-Channel adventure.
