On December 9, 2021, in a historic moment, the Principality of Monaco officially joined TV5MONDE as a partner member. This constitutes a major step in the history of the French-speaking channel, serving its ambition to best represent the diversity of the French-speaking world.

A new national public service channel, Monte-Carlo Riviera, will broadcast in the 200 countries covered by TV5MONDE.
